I want my paintings to be playgrounds for the imagination.  The goal is for them to seem almost natural, close enough to feel familiar, but still strange enough to inspire wonder.

I use textured surfaces combined with color compositions that often incorporate metallic paints. The result is dynamic works of art that are extremely responsive to lighting. The metallics provide movement and an inner glow while the texture adds a sculptural, tactile experience. The aim is to make paintings that people want to explore with their eyes and their fingertips.

Fascination with the energetic aspects of the world compels me to reference erosion, sedimentation, combustion, and other forces of nature in my work. Finding a suitable process for each piece is important.
